Private by design. This tool runs entirely in your browser — your file is processed on your device and is never uploaded to us. How this works

Sign PDF adds your signature to a document in seconds. Draw it with your mouse, trackpad or finger, or type your name in a handwriting style — then place it on the page, resize it to fit the signature line, and download the signed PDF.

It runs entirely in your browser: your document and your signature never leave your device. No upload, no account, no watermark.

How it works

Your signature is captured as an image in the browser and placed on top of the page where you drop it. On download, Ream draws it straight into the PDF — the file is built on your device and nothing is sent to a server.

Draw it or type it

draw or type place signed
  • Draw — sign with your mouse, trackpad or finger for a natural, handwritten look.
  • Type — enter your name and Ream renders it in a handwriting style.

Either way, drag the signature to the right spot, resize it with the corner handle, and add the date or your initials with the text tool.

Is a placed signature valid?

A drawn or typed signature you place on a PDF is a visible electronic signature — the everyday kind used for agreements, forms and approvals, and widely accepted for most business and personal documents. It is not a certificate-based digital signature (the cryptographic kind some regulated processes require). For those you’ll need a dedicated e-signature service; for everything else, this is quick, free and private.

When you’ll use it

  • Signing a contract, form or letter.
  • Approving a quote or invoice.
  • Adding a signature to a scanned document.
  • Initialling each page of an agreement.
