Private by design. This tool runs entirely in your browser — your file is processed on your device and is never uploaded to us. How this works
Remove Blank Pages scans your PDF and drops the pages that are empty — the stray blanks that scanners insert between double-sided sheets, or the empty backs of pages. Instead of hunting for them and deleting one by one, the tool finds them for you and hands back a tidy document.
It runs entirely in your browser: each page is checked on your own device, nothing is uploaded, and there’s no account or watermark. You choose how strict “blank” should be, so faint scanner speckle doesn’t keep an otherwise-empty page.
How it works
Ream renders each page and measures how much of it is actually marked. A page that is white (or almost white) is treated as blank and removed; everything with real content is kept. The sensitivity setting decides where the line sits — Normal suits most files, Aggressive also clears near-empty pages that carry only a faint mark or a page number, and Only completely empty removes just the truly white ones.
How to Remove Blank Pages
Add your PDF
Drop the file onto the box above or click to browse. It stays on your device.
Pick a sensitivity
Normal for most files; Aggressive to also drop near-blank pages; Only completely empty for the strictest pass.
Clean & download
Ream removes the blanks and tells you how many it dropped and kept.
Perfect for scanned documents
The most common source of blank pages is a duplex scanner: scan a stack of single-sided sheets in two-sided mode and every other page comes out empty. Remove Blank Pages clears them in one step. If the pages have a faint grey cast from the scanner, use Aggressive so they still count as blank. For scans you also want to search or convert, run OCR afterwards.
You stay in control
Detection is automatic, but the sensitivity setting keeps you in charge of the edge cases. If a page you wanted was removed (say it held just a single line), redo it at a stricter setting. And if you’d rather choose pages by hand, Delete Pages lets you remove exact page numbers, while Organize Pages reorders and drops pages by typing an order.

Frequently asked questions
How do I remove blank pages from a PDF?
Add the file, pick a sensitivity, and click. Ream detects the empty pages and removes them, then tells you how many were dropped.
It left a page that looked blank — why?
It probably has a faint mark, a stray line or a page number. Try the Aggressive sensitivity to also clear near-blank pages.
It removed a page I wanted to keep.
Redo it at a stricter setting (Only completely empty), or pick pages by hand with Delete Pages.
Does it work on scanned PDFs?
Yes — that’s the main use. Use Aggressive if the scanner leaves a light grey cast on empty pages.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The check runs entirely in your browser, so the PDF stays on your device.
Is it free?
Yes — free, no sign-up, and no watermark.
