Edit & secure PDFs

Lock a PDF with a password, remove one you know, stamp a watermark — plus sign, edit and redact.

encrypted

The Secure tools control who can open your document and how it’s marked. Protect adds strong password encryption, Unlock removes a password you already know, and Watermark stamps text like “CONFIDENTIAL” across the pages. You can also sign, edit and securely redact.

Watermark, Sign, Edit and Redact run entirely in your browser — those files never leave your device. Protect and Unlock use real AES-256 encryption tooling, so they run in our hardened server sandbox: the file and password travel over HTTPS, are processed in an isolated container, and are deleted the moment the job finishes — never stored or logged. We never add a watermark of our own.

Frequently asked questions

How do I password-protect a PDF?

Protect PDF encrypts the file with a password you choose, so it can’t be opened without it.

Can I remove a password from a PDF?

Yes — Unlock PDF removes a password from a document you already have the password for.

Is my password sent to a server?

For Protect and Unlock, yes — over encrypted HTTPS to an isolated sandbox that deletes the file and password as soon as the job finishes; nothing is stored or logged. Watermark, sign, edit and redact never upload anything at all.

Can I sign, edit or redact a PDF?

Yes — all three are live and run in your browser: Sign adds a signature, Edit adds text, boxes and highlights, and Redact blacks out and truly removes content.
