How it works
Ream opens your workbook in a headless office engine and prints it to PDF using the sheet’s own print settings — page size, orientation, print area and scaling. That is why a little setup in Excel before you convert makes a big difference to how the PDF looks.

Stop columns getting cut off
The most common Excel-to-PDF frustration is a wide sheet spilling across several pages or cutting off the last columns. That is controlled by the spreadsheet’s print settings, so set them before converting:
- Fit to one page wide. In Excel: Page Layout → Scale to Fit → Width = 1 page. This shrinks the columns to fit the sheet width.
- Switch to landscape for wide tables (Page Layout → Orientation → Landscape).
- Set a print area to export just the range you want, not the whole worksheet.
With those set, the PDF comes out clean and readable instead of chopped across pages.
Why convert a spreadsheet to PDF?
A PDF turns a working spreadsheet into a finished document: the numbers are locked, the formulas are hidden, and the layout prints exactly as designed. It is the right format for sending an invoice, sharing a report with someone who does not use Excel, or archiving month-end figures so they cannot be altered.

How do I convert Excel to PDF?

My columns get cut off — how do I fix it?
Set the print options in Excel first: Scale to Fit, Width = 1 page, and switch to landscape for wide sheets. Then convert.
Does it keep my formulas?
A PDF shows the results, not the live formulas — that is the point of a fixed document. Keep the .xlsx if you need the formulas.
Can I convert CSV to PDF too?
